From the outset, when you take the book in your hands, you will notice that the cover says, Timor's Ultrasonography of the Prenatal Brain. I will clarify this change later, but first let me talk about the other significant change in the listing of the editors of the book.

Dr. Gustavo Malinger, one of the most recognized leaders of our field, has become the lead editor of this new edition. Gustavo not only contributed to most of the new chapters, but also authored or co-authored many of the chapters in the previous edition. This move should be perceived as our commitments to our readership in terms of producing new chapters and as well as updating previous chapters in terms of clinical, research, and technical aspects of ultrasound of the prenatal brain by "passing the torch" into his able hands.

As for the other change you see on the cover of the book, the explanation is as follows. In academia, as professors reach a certain age, they are "moved up" with the title "Honorary" attached to their appointment. This is what happened in my case. Recognizing the pioneering work of initiating and leading the publication of the three previous editions, the associate editors honored me by placing my name as seen on the cover.

Indeed, one of the main achievements of 50 years of my career has been the production of our continuously "rejuvenating" editions of this book. I sincerely hope, that relying heavily on my co-editors and the many authors and co-authors, my initial goal has been achieved.
