TY - CHAP M1 - Book, Section TI - Advanced Cardiac Life Support of the Pregnant Patient A1 - Raschke, Robert A. A2 - Foley, Michael R. A2 - Strong, Jr., Thomas H. A2 - Garite, Thomas J. PY - 2015 T2 - Obstetric Intensive Care Manual, 4e AB - Cardiopulmonary arrest in pregnancy is uncommon, occurring once in every 20,000 to 50,000 pregnancies. Even at the busiest medical centers, this will only total a few cases per year. Most of what we know regarding cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in pregnancy is based on animal experiments or observational studies in humans. There are no published randomized controlled clinical trials of CPR during pregnancy and few clinicians have had the experience of running many obstetrical codes. The mortality of obstetrical arrest is over 90% in some studies. SN - PB - McGraw-Hill Education CY - New York, NY Y2 - 2024/03/28 UR - obgyn.mhmedical.com/content.aspx?aid=1115791121 ER -
